Feelin' Friendly February

šŸ’– February Celebrates Kindness at Stretch-n-Grow

February is packed with movement, fun, and meaningful moments in Stretch-n-Grow! From Groundhog Day and Super Bowl excitement to sharing love on Valentine’s Day, this month is all about connection, kindness, and building happy, healthy hearts.

⭐ February Star Focus: Helping Others

With Random Acts of Kindness Day on February 17, this month is the perfect time to focus on teaching children how to help, care, and show kindness to others. Through movement, teamwork, and play, our Stars practice simple acts of kindness that build empathy, confidence, and strong social-emotional skills.

🌈 Simple Ways Kids Practice Kindness

Kindness doesn’t have to be big to be powerful! Children can practice kindness by:

    •    Sharing toys and taking turns

    •    Saying ā€œthank youā€ to teachers and friends

    •    Helping clean up

    •    Giving compliments or a friendly hug

    •    Smiling and including others

These small actions help children understand that kindness is something they can choose every day.

šŸ’Ŗ Why Kindness Matters

Early childhood is a key time for learning empathy, cooperation, and respect. When children practice kindness, they strengthen friendships, feel more confident, and learn how to care for others. At Stretch-n-Grow, kindness is woven into every class as kids cheer for one another, work as a team, and celebrate effort.

šŸ” Bringing Kindness Home

Families can extend these lessons at home by modeling kindness, talking about feelings, and trying activities like a Kindness Jar filled with simple, thoughtful actions. When kindness is noticed and celebrated, it quickly becomes a habit.

šŸ’™ Growing Happy, Healthy Hearts

By combining movement, mindfulness, and kindness, Stretch-n-Grow helps children grow strong bodies and caring hearts. February is a wonderful reminder that helping others makes us all feel good—and that’s something worth celebrating all month long!
