WELCOME TO STRETCH-N-GROW
Stretch-n-Grow International (founded in 1992), is the world's largest network of certified youth fitness professionals! We specialize in providing movement based enrichment programs in schools that get kids' bodies AND minds moving with high quality, educational, fun, and creative exercise experiences! Stretch-n-Grow of Charlotte/Lake Norman was established in 2013.
When her youngest went to Kindergarten 2019, Owner/Director Kori Sullivan saw a post about needing preschool fitness coaches and came on as a coach.
"With my kids in school full time, I wanted to branch out and try something different! And having the flexibility to be able to still be there for my kids was amazing," says Kori
Immediately, Kori fell in love with the program. In early 2020, Kori, a former collegiate athlete, preschool teacher, and mom of 2 young kids, bought Stretch-n-Grow of Charlotte/Lake Norman.
Kori, originally from Connecticut, grew up in a preschool setting as her mom ran a NAEYC accredited preschool. Her summers throughout high school and college were spent working with her mom at Work and Play School, so teaching preschoolers is second nature. She also loves coaching youth sports, from middle school cheerleading in college to her own kids in T-ball and soccer, she has a ton of experience to pull from when coach!
"With our own kids, my husband and I love to exercise and get outside. Whether it's going to Burn Bootcamp Lake Norman, hiking, biking, swimming, soccer or walking our 2 rescue dogs, being active is an integral part of our family lifestyle, " Kori says.
When the opportunity came to buy the area, Kori knew it was the perfect fit. With her managerial and sales skills as well as her innate teaching abilities and the stellar, EXCERciting curriculum, becoming owner was an easy decision.
"I love that SNG brings a play-based, fun mentality to overall healthy living. SNG gives them tools to strength their bodies and their minds. I'm excited to help the next generation of healthy kiddos!" shares Kori.
